New General Manager:
Dr. Stefan Vollmuth assumes office at iSL-Chemie

Kürten, 1 May 2009 – Dr. Stefan Vollmuth is the new general manager at iSL-Chemie GmbH & Co. KG, the leading manufacturer in pigment pastes and paints for the plastic processing industry in Europe. Dr. Vollmuth, who has a doctorate in chemistry, has officially taken over office on 1 May 2009 from Dr. Klaus Semmler, who has relocated to the parent company and assumed the post of senior manager for polyurethane for the Berlac Group of companies.

The new 42-year-old general manager of iSL-Chemie will continue to hold the post of general manager at bomix Chemie.

After the completion of his studies and doctorate at the Technical University in Munich, Dr. Vollmuth started his professional career at Sachtleben Chemie in Duisburg, where he was active for eleven years. There he headed one of the three business divisions and was furthermore the general manager of MIWAC GmbH, a subsidiary of Sachtleben Chemie. Dr. Stefan Vollmuth is married and the father of 2 children.

iSL-Chemie is a subsidiary of Berlac, a Swiss group of companies, and is based in Kürten. The company achieved a turnover of almost €30 million in 2008 and has a total of 140 employees.
